Which horn to get???

For quite a while I have been throwing the idea around of purchasing a new horn. My dilemna is which one to get.

Flugel?
Pic?
Cornet?

I would have a limited use for all 3 so I wouldn't want to drop a ton of $$ on any of them.

I seem to play an equal amount of jazz vs. classical.

I can't make up my mind and get off of the fence!!!!

Re: Which horn to get???

This question comes up quite often. My answer is basic economics:
I recommend the piccolo first as those jobs pay best, generating income for the other 2 horns.
The flugelhorn sounds the most "sexy", the cornet is the most fun.

Re: Which horn to get???

If you play an equal amount of classical and jazz. I think you would probably use the flugel more. From the litle experience I have, Jazz calls for flugel more than classical calls for a pic/cornet.

But, I'd personaly go with the pic....
