Thanks Dylan--Do you know when the "special edition" series was made, and did it have any special QC when in production? I'm wondering if this is a chance to pick up a newer Bach that actually have the quality level of some of the older Bach's. I'm a Bach player, but it is really time for me to replace my very old 30XXX Bach as my everyday horn.

I'd love either a Harrelson or an Eclipse, but due to medical bills both are out of my price range right now.

bandman,

I have a newish Bach 618XXX 37 ml that easily plays as well as any of the older Bachs I've played (it replaces a Taylor and I actually own an excellent early Elkhart C) and a friend of mine has actually sold his Eclipse after playing mine and now is the owner of Bach 639XXX 37 ml. He played about 6 trumpets at Phil Parker's in the UK and said all of them were fine.

Regards,

Trevor
