How to try a Lawler?

Anyone know if Lawler sends out horns on a trial basis? I'd really like to try a C7. I have played the Yamaha 8310Z and really liked it. Can anyone compare these horns? I am currently playing a Yamaha 6345HGII with a M/K rounded tuning slide. I am looking for a horn that I don't have to muscle so much. My playing is mostly wind ensemble, big band, and church gigs.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: How to try a Lawler?

Roy has always had a trial program for his horns.

You pay up front and he sends you the horn.

After the trial period yiu can keep the horn, send it back for tweaking and plating or send it back and say "No thanks".

If you do not want the horn, he will refund your money, minus shipping charges.

I owned a C7 in satin gold plate.
It was a very good horn and the equal or better than any trumpet I had played up to that time.

The C7 replaced, and was in my opinion a better horn than my Schilke B6.

I also used the horn as a lead horn in a big band and playing in churches with my wife.
