That's pretty weird - must be a "British thang". I don't think you'd accomplish much unless you got rid of the regular tuning slide, though.

Stomvi does the same thing with some of their models, and they eliminate the tuning slide. Just don't hold them by the bell bow!

Re: I have never seen a bach like this one.

Similar to what Eclipse does. The guy was ahead of his time or had the work done by First Class Brass...

Well, it says that it was done by the Bach company 3 years ago. And how long has Leigh been doing that at Eclipse? Longer, right? I'm not really sure.

Thats what interested me, that Bach had apparently done it.

There is a 19th century F trumpet with three valves in a museum here that has a tuning slide at the back so its not a new idea.

Re: I have never seen a bach like this one.

I would be really surprised to find out the guys at the Bach factory actually did that work. Maybe they did it but I have never seen anything like that before come from the Bach factory.

Looks like a factory work to me.
Leigh would have done to the same way that he does on Eclipse.

Re: I have never seen a bach like this one.

Now the famous Bach one piece bell is a 5 piece bell (bell, 2xtuning slide receivers, 2x tuning slide.
I guess we'd need to to play it to comment!, I have my doubts. If that mod was the frosting on the cake, Bach would have put it into production.
The eclipse works because it was designed that way from the beginning!
