I made the Yamaha Leap

After a long search, playing horns within my price range, I finally made a decision and purchased a new Yamaha 8310ZS Bobby Shew horn.

I'm loving it, been playing it non-stop since I brought it home, I feel confident I made the right choice.

I played a Xeno today with the gold brass bell and I was very impressed. They are very close to Bach at this point.

I had tried the Zeno 8335 RGS (Gold Brass Bell) as well and was also impressed, however the sound from the Bobby Shew sold me, (as did the price since it was more affordable!)

Congratulations! That's a top notch horn, and the way Yamaha is pricing them, quite a bargain these days.

I did too... Never liked Yamaha horns, but after my teacher laughed at my C trumpet, I tired one of the 9445CHS models and loved it...and so I've switched. It'll be a few years before I have the matching Bb though.
