![]() | I need info on my strad I just have a couple questions that I need answered. a few months ago, I was gifted a new bach stradivarius 180S37G silver trumpet. whats cool about this particular trumpet though, is that it came with the gold trim kit, mother of pearl finger buttons, and there is a big engraving of a flower on the bell. the case for my trumpet is black on the outside instead of brown, and in the lower corner it says soloist stradivarius, which is different from the regualr brown case with just the word stradivarius on it. I looked at bach's website, but I couldnt seem to find this specific model anywhere. so I would just like to know if this is an artist model, or some custom model or whatever. apparently, our local music store had ordered it for some guy, and all the guy did was look at it, and didnt buy it, so we decided to take that one since it was the only strad they had on hand. |

![]() | Re: I need info on my strad This will not really answer your question, because I have no first-hand knowledge of the horn. However, here is a link to a brief description from the Woodwind and Brasswind web site. The "G" is for "Gold brass bell." Otherwise, it looks like it might be a standard silver-plated Strad. http://www.wwbw.com/Bach-Stradivariu...:referralID=NA This link seems to reinforce the "standard Strad with a gold brass bell" theory. Bach 37S Good luck! |

![]() | Re: I need info on my strad its a pro horn, but I am wondering why I cant find another one like it. the engraving is kinda neat, but I dont see it mentioned for other models. I gotta say though, compared to my yamaha student, it is a crown jewel when it comes to playing. oh, and soloist stradivarius is also engraved on the bell in between the flowers, right under the bach logo. ![]() | Re: I need info on my strad It is quite possibly a custom order. If you look at the Bach catalog, it states there are several styles of engraving available. I'm not sure about the "Soloist" nomenclature though.

![]() | Re: I need info on my strad yeah, but it has a different case, an engraving, and mother of pearl finger buttons, and the gold trim kit. and what's weird is that it was actually less than it would have costed to order a regular model 37 strad. |
