What are anybody's thoughts on the Jerome Callet Sima trumpet?
What horn has a great big fat sound but still has a strong vintage look and sound core?
I love the Olds Mendez and the B & S Challenger II that I have now but want a fatter sound.
I had a Callet Jazz trumpet the sound was great but the valves had a issue. The bell had a great big fat flair and a full bodied sound. Sold it after I got married and keep a couple of vintage horns.Regret that move! not getting married but selling the horn..Ha Ha
I have been researching for a new trumpet for some time now and it's like the mouthpiece search there's always something new on the block.
I did find my perfect mouthpiece - Monette
Why not a Monette horn ...simple I can't afford it.
Not that there are not other mouthpieces that I've played that sounded good but the Monette fixed the back pressure and register balance issue that I have had for years. I played a Marcinkiewicz Rick Baptist for 16 years but was always curious about the Monette concept.
Thanks to anyone for feedback and have a good day.
