| New Friend | Jupiter CTR-60 Trumpet Hi Everyone, I need your help. I'm a brand new comeback player trying to play after over 40 years of none playing. I'm thinking about getting this Jupiter CTR-60 trumpet that was made in 2001. I'm wide open for your suggestions and opinions. I've bought a Martin Handcraft Dansant and it's a little hard to play at this time. I need something a little easier to play. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. |

![]() | Re: Jupiter CTR-60 Trumpet So far i think that jupiter has a good sounding easy playing horn my experence with my jupiter is that it creates alot of water. I have the new 25th anniversery addition. So you might have better luck with jupiter then I. but i would say its not bad to start on to get your chops back. |

![]() | Re: Jupiter CTR-60 Trumpet Jupiter brass has had some serious valve problems over the last few years. They play fantastically. You want to check the valves thoroughly. Pull them out and see if they have a brownish green discoloration. The nickel valves are much better than the monel valves. The new horns are coming out with stainless steel valves. I hope it cures their troubles.
