| The new Laskey-Pinc horns are fantastic. They have an extremely even feel throughout the registers and have a great feeling high C and D. They cost slightly more than the Yamaha Artists but, the Laskeys are hand made and play a lot better so Oh, and the sound is to die for, very rich and full. |

| They are excellent horns. Very nice feel and response, very colorful, warm, workable sound. I am always on the lookout for a horn that sounds as good as my Bach, but plays a little more consistently, and so far I'm pleased with how this horn works for me. |

| New Friend | are they open? I heard some of the laskey bach conversions were a bit stuffy (not stuffy but lacking openness) and therefore weren't as "good" in orchestras...are these (laskey/pinc c trumpets) great in orchestras? |

| I took a lesson from Chuck Lirette in the Pittsburgh Orchestra yesterday. He actually told me that he has the Laskey horns on order now (he currently plays the conversions). He said that he liked them BECAUSE they were more open than the conversions. There ya go! Louie |

| New Friend | bingo! Thanks for that. So if the only complaint about the conversion horns are that they are too stuffy and these new ones are more open...why isn't this horn the "ideal" horn and played more often? Sounds like the sound is amazing and the openness are there and the intonation is as good to or better than other c trumoets...Thanks! |
