Hi guys, this one is my first post on this web site, Im an Italian Jazz trumpeter, Im playng with very great satisfaction a Martin Commettee ST 3460 it is a great trumpet at all in my opinion, I have had some Bach(37, 43 and 37 with "star" on the bell), Benge, Yamaha Custom, Besson Meha but this Martin is really another world at all.
I would like to know when it is been made(the year), his serial number is as follow: 998485.

Have a look at this site for starters http://www.dallasmusic.org/gearhead/...Committee.html ...I would think it isn't very old ...I have a Martin Committee trumpet from the RMC era with a serial number 217***
