![]() | Martin Committee Valves I am wondering how replating Committee valves will affect playability. They are renowned for loose slots and and ease in moving around a tone....would this be lost? There has been alot of debate about the negatives of relacquering and the positives of alignment.... I would particularly appreciate hearing from the experts and those who have had their Committee valves overhauled. Walter |

![]() | Re: Martin Committee Valves Hey Walter-the way vintage Martins slot and it's ability to move around in pitch is a result the flair in the lead pipe which is unique to these horns. You can have your valves redone without changing this. Best of luck with your horn
