Monette 2000LT C

I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience playing the Monette 2000 LT C trumpet. I'd like to know what you think of it. Thank you!

Just to reiterate, I'd like to hear from those who have experience playing this particular trumpet, or at least who are close to someone who does. I am not interested in monette-based opinions or pontifications from anyone else. Please do not post in this thread if you don't fit these parameters.

ubieday-

I'll try not to pontificate... I tried one at a Monette clinic a few years ago and really liked it. At the time it was the lightest C trumpet they made. It still had the smoothness behind the horn that the heavier instruments have, but you can get a little more "electricity" in the sound. To put it another way, it runs on nitro, not diesel...

I used to own one of these. A great playing horn. It's sound is much more "conventional," however I have since elected to return to the good ol' Bach.

I do recommend the horn however, if that is the sound you are looking for.

Thanks for the great replies. Loudog, can you tell me more about what you did not like in the sound of this horn?
