Monette Price List?????

Anyone know where a person could get a price list on the Monette horns? Granted it'll be a looooong time before I'm good enough to bother with one, and even loooooooooooooonger before I can afford one ($$$$$), but It'd still be good to have a reference point for each of the different models.

Anyone?

http://www.wyntonmarsalis.org usually has one floating around their forum, or contact the Monette shop for their materials.

OUCH! I don't think all my horns put together are worth as much as the least expensive Monette, and I have some nice horns.

RZ,

I've got a current price list around somewhere. I'll make a copy for you and get it to you next time I see you.

As a Monette "client," I really hate how these rumors get started. Raja instruments actually will cost you your first born SON.

Also, I found the list laying around my apartment. The only reason I have it is to torture myself. Now I can torture all of you Here goes:

2000LT $5,700
MF Horn $8,550 (Prana only)
Piccolo $5,800
Classic Cornet $6,000
900 Series E-flat $5,600
B993 or C993 $6,600
B-994 WJ $9,450 (Prana only)
B997 or C997 $7,700
900 Series Cornet $7,700
Ajna II $9,500
Flumpet $9,500
Shakti $22,000 (Prana only)
Raja III $27,000 (Prana only)
Raja Samahdi $30,000+ (Prana only, first born children may be traded in at market value)

I joke, but keep in mind that most string players out there would KILL to only have to pay $30,000 for their instruments. I once went with my roomate to look at instruments at David Gage's bass shop in NYC. She played one and was delighted that it only cost $20,000, although she said she would probably have to upgrade again when she got out of grad school. Just keep things in perspective.
-Jimi

PS RZ: I love the quote at the bottom of your post. I think math geeks and music geeks are not so different. I sometimes get called to play in the Mass Iinstitute of Technology (the geek capitol of the world) and I always feel right at home. The orchestra isn't great, but they're all good at counting
