![]() | Monette Trumpets? Hey, anybody out there have a Monette? I've seen them, and they look awesome, and reportedly they play that way too. But, they're expensive.... Whaddya say? Last edited by Schwab; 09-30-2009 at 02:00 PM. |

![]() | Re: Monette Trumpets? Just search a bit on the forums and you'll find quite a bit about them...I had an older model, a 149XL. Nice horn...the new Prana models are amazing, however. But ridiculously expensive.

![]() ![]() | Re: Monette Trumpets? You will find a lot of people with brand loyalty on these sites, it's like Schwab said "some people like them, some people don't, just like any other horn". Remember all ways try before you buy ,it's whats feels and works best for you that counts, that's why there are so many different professional brands and models out there. |

![]() | Re: Monette Trumpets? If you're really interested...invest in a trip to Portland to visit the shop. You can try out mouthpieces and horns. I did this summer (I'm already a Monette mouthpiece client) and now am saving up for a Prana 3 STC. I'm not personally loyal to one brand (see my signature below) but IMHO I haven't played anything that comes close to the Monette trumpets. Try out everything you are interested in then make the choice that best fits you. James
