Need advice

What do you guys think?

Truba B Roy Benson Truba

It is either that, or a stagg trumpet. Can"t afford more.
Tried to grab some older trumpets, but nobody I know is selling anything, and I do need a new trumpet, so...
Whatchya guys think?

Re: Need advice

Hey,
that link is to a site written in a very unfamiliar language, but it sounds like you need a new but affordable trumpet. There is such a thing! if you can get your hands on a student model yamaha that would be great. They're well under $1000 and they are good quality. Even better still you could think about getting a second hand horn (you could pick up a good quality horn for a few hundred)
Keep us posted if you find anything!
P.S I really don't know if I'd want to buy that horn on that site - I've never even heard of it before...

Re: Need advice

It's slovenian or croatian (I'm not quite sure which)...

I based on what I could decipher I wouldn't really buy this trumpet, but who am I to judge. Have you played this horn yet?

Unless I am badly mistaken that horn was either made in Croatia or China. In either case, I would avoid it like I would avoid the plague. The advice to pursue a good used horn is very valid.

Re: Need advice

The Roy Benson instrument is chinese and the website is from:
KupiProdaj! - Kreativni poduhvati d.o.o.
Odranska 1, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia
They sell Roy Benson also in Germany. The instruments go for about $250 and if you can play 4 or 5, you will find one with VERY good playing qualities. The cases that come with them are even better than the instruments!

HEY!!!! I am from Croatia!! What do you mean, I would avoid it like plague?? Da fin nisam kao što jesam, uzvratio bih ti uvredom nekom... I think nobody produces wind instruments in Croatia. The price of this trumpet is cca, 220 €. While the cheapest yamaha model, the one that doesn"t even have lacquer on it, yust plain brass is 310 €. Soooooo... But, since everyone advised me to be on the lookout for a used trumpet, then I won"t get this one. I trust you guys. Thanks for the advice.
