New Eclipse cornets are ready!

Hi all

Quite a few folks have been asking about when the new cornets would be ready and what they looked like.
I cannot get you the pics right now, but will have pictures of the red and yellow brass models tomorrow for you to have a look at.

The R & D was completed around 3 months ago, we have been spending our time up until now getting the cosmetics the way we wanted without ruining the sound and tuning we had achieved.

This is now completed and the cornets will be going into full production in a weeks time.

I have not worked out the costings yet so the price is not fixed yet.

I will be over in Helsinki from Friday to Sunday with our dealer over there (Soitin Laine). If there are any TMer's out that way, it would be great to meet you.

Best Wishes

Leigh

Leigh is very good at teasing

If I can add my thoughts - if the production models play as well as the prototype did, this is one superb instrument (no surprises, it's an Eclipse). If it plays better - oh dear, my bank manager isn't going to be happy.

Is that digital camera fixed yet?! Perhaps it needs rhodium plating to protect it!

looking forward to seeing pics of the new cornet

Maybe it's fixed, but Mr. Trumpetmakingwizard is in Finland. So just continue with the waiting-game...

There are pics of the prototype floating around the ether - but I suspect you want pics of the finished article (with proper plating, not "workshop finish")

I want to hear specs. Two piece bells? ML bore? Different brass compositions for leadpipe and bell?

...Thats what I like to look at, anyway.
