![]() | Re: new trumpet??? I played the B and S at ITG. I don't remember playing a Kanstul. I wish you would not buy any horn without playing it. For example. I have been interested in the Schilke B7. I played one last year at ITG. I played a lot of brands at ITG. I have decided to wait and play them again at the Banff ITG conference. Then, I will go to Chicago and spend an entire practice session playing a B7. If, after all that, I still like the blow, I will buy a new horn. I realize you may have some problems finding a dealer. But, send emails to the manufacturers and find out where you can give the horns a try. All horns should have a good day of blowing, i.e. practice routine, before laying out the dollars, Euroes, or Pesos. I would suggest telling us where you live so that the B and S and Kanstul players can invite you over to play their horns. It might work out for you. Good Luck. |

We do not have your brains, looks, ears or chops so our opinion does not really mean much. They are all well built professional trumpets with a following. The companies have all been in existence for a while. |

| Re: new trumpet??? Hi Don, If you are going to try a Kanstul or two, I would go through one of their authorized "knowledgable" dealers rather than WWBW. I would also speak with one of those dealers to let them know what you are looking for. Here's a short list. You can go to Kanstul.net for a complete list. Pick Music HiHorns.com Kanstul.com I know these three have a "try before you buy" offer. |

| Re: new trumpet??? Yeah, I tried the Yamaha Xeno with reversed tuning pipe and it was so easy to reach the high notes. I also tried a Bach Stad and the yamaha was much easier to play. Good luck on your quest. |
