Newest Monette series horns!

Notice the good head posture and proper use of the one-handed technique. Actually, I like Monette and have used their mouthpieces for years! I thought this was a funny pic though...and it got your attention! I never saw a man playing a horn like this in Baghdad, but it woulda been cool!

Trent,

But this model makes it difficult to play any scales...

Something fishy about this. I don't think Dave Monette would release a new model without Manny being involved.

Is this the instrument that Dave is now making Manny play having seen that Manny has been commenting in the Eclipse Contest thread?

From what I understand, you don't need valves to play all the pitches in the chromatic scale. The new "universal pitch center" concept enables a player to hit every not perfectly in tune by only bending the partials of one harmonic series. This was developed by Dr. Mailkow Dropping and was given to Monette for a free buffet at Star of India in Austin, TX. Of course this technology is patent pending, so don't steal it.

(of course this is all false...and btw, I love Indian food!)
