| New Friend | NY Stage 1 I recently bought a used NY Stage 1 trumpet from Felix at NY Trumpet Co.out of New Your City, New York. Ater recieveing the horn I inspected it for workmanship, which I must say was great..not a flaw anywhere. Then as always even with new horns I always give my new babies a bath as it were and even thow the horn is approx. 2 years old I couldn't fine any signs of wear..I was exspecting to at least find the normal wear and tear signs but nothing the horn was almost as new. This was Felix's personnel horn so I know it had been put threw it's pases. After the bath and the normal oil and lube...I must have played the horn for at least a good 2 hours and found just how easy this horn played, in fact the term almost plays it's self comes to mind. I am not a high note player but I do have a solid G above high C which I found slotted pretty easily and the tone was great. The next night I had a 3 hour band practice which I can say is usually pretty grueling and normally I wouldn't have to much left in the tank so too speak, but not this time I bet I could have gone on for at least another hour or so. I let everyone in the section give the stage 1 a try before practice and everyone was surely impressed on just how well it was made and how easy the notes just seem to sing out of the horn.Felix is a great guy to chat with.he is one of us a trumpet player who has his finger on what our needs are in out everyday indevor to become the best we can.I would really highly recommend this horn I assure you you won't be disappointed . Sorry for the long post...I can't help myself sometimes...thanks for reading Just my .02 worth Auggy

| Piano User | Re: NY Stage 1 Very nice, Auggy. Good to know you love your new horn! I agree, Felix is doing some great stuff, and is coming up in the trumpet world! I got to play that horn in February at TMEA and I was VERY impressed with it. I was wishing I could have just taken it with me, but I'm sure I'm going to love my new one when it comes in. Thanks for the review! Russ
