olds recording 1970's

I have been offered a 70's Recording in VCG. Is there anything about the horns made in the 70's that I should know? I know they are great horns.
All advice readily accepted.

Re: olds recording 1970's

The only real change made to the Recording over time was mainly cosmetic. In the mid 70's Olds moved from hand engraved bells to machine engraved and changed the leadpipe from Re-o-loy to nickle silver. You may also find some that had nylon valve guides vs metal.
1966 1966 Olds Catalog
1977 1977 Olds Catalog

All were excellent horns, but again, play it first and make your decision on that.
