As you know good Schilke photo's are hard to come by....

Schilkes are the purtiest horns. 8) Since the Schilke forum has come to the TM, this has become the first stop for my trumpet fix.

no, not intergrated - that is a schilke custom modern heavy weight mouthpice.... I have two Bb and a flugel one -

what's the finish on this horn and how did you get it

It is a satin gold plate finish - Anderson offers this finish and I took the option when I had the horn overhauled last year...

it looks fantastic! How much did the satin gold replating cost and how does it play differently?

Graham,

I belive it was around
$800 for that finish - as far playing differenty.... it was converted from a B3b to a X3Lb - in the end it was a very different horn - it has a much fatter mellow sound then before, one day I will remount my old bell - but i have a feeling i will not be using it much...
