Relacquering

I have a 20+-year-old raw brass horn. I'm sure this is silly, but I'm thinking of relacquering him myself. I spent a fair amount of time spraying lacquer and polyurethane on doors, windows, and trim when I was in construction, so I know I can handle a spray gun. Has anyone undertaken this task? What product would you recommend that I use? How much and what kind of preparation (other than "H", Solar Bell) will the horn need?

Thanks!

Jamie

PS. I apologize if this is rehashing an old topic, but I couldn't find a similar thread.

Go to 2nd Front Page to order the Eric Brand Repair Manual. You can learn how to do all kinds of stuff, and cheaply, too! It has pictures and chemicals and all kinds of stuff. Have fun!
