Research help needed

I am a trumpetmaster.com rookie and would appreciate any insight or direction. I have an Olds Studio, reg. # 546,XXX that I am considering selling. Based upon my research this was manufactured in the mid-60's. I've not been able to locate any information on the value/selling price and was hoping for some direction.

Thanks in advance!

Geesh, sorry Champ. Didn't realize that I had committed such a grevious violation. Was just trying to learn more about the horn. Thanks.

Welcome to trumpetmaster, I can't help you on pricing your instrument but I'm sure someone who is not as rude as the above poster can help you out.

What is the point in being so judgemental?

From Merriam-Webster
Forum: 1 a: the marketplace or public place of an ancient Roman city forming the center of judicial and public business b: a public meeting place for open discussion c: a medium (as a newspaper or online service) of open discussion or expression of ideas

Note the words "public" and "open".

It seems easier to ignore such a post than to respond as you did, Champ, and get your knickers in a twist.

Re: Research help needed

it is a buyers market. The price really has more to do with the condition of the instrument and somebody elses spare cash.

That instrument is not one of the "hot things" to have as a symphonic or jazz player although it can be fun for the collector.

Don't get your hopes up unless it is in MINT condition and completely original.

I tend to agree with Champ. We are more interested in relationships than auction pricing. We have the marketplace for stuff like this, maybe TM needs to do a better job advertising that feature.

Champ,
next time just say "I'd pay about $20.00 for it". That has the same effect as your post this time and probably will scare the onetimers off faster. I do appreciate you trying to keep the horn forum "clean" though.
