| Schilke Tunable Bells Compared To Fixed Bell Models Has anyone ever compared a Schilke tunable bell model to the same fixed bell model? Example B5L compared to the B5? B1L compared to the B1? I know in theory they play more in tune but I'm especially interested in any slotting differences you may have noticed. |

| It is generally accepted that bell tuned trumpets have better intonation and projection that their fixed bell counterparts. However, they are much more fragile and some people don't seem to like the way a trumpet plays when that much bracing is removed. See much more detailed information here. http://www.dallasmusic.org/schilke/T...0Trumpets.html |
