No offense intended by my question Jim.

I have been thinking of taking a trip to WWBW in South Bend for a while just have to find the time. Haven't really been able to find any stores that even have a pro-level horn to try.

You might call educators music in Lakewood, Ohio. They are a small music store but they would usually have a have dozen different horns to try. I am from Ohio and its been years since ive been to that store, so I dont know what they have now.

I was yanking your chain a bit.

WWBW is a wonderful place ... unless you are a dealer like me. They work on high volume and low prices. But like Wal*Mart, they are killing the local stores with this type of business plan. Now when you want to try a horn ... you have to drive forever to find a good store

It doesn't help either that some of the manufacturers make you buy $30,000 worth of horns to become a dealer. Not hard for WWBW to do, but I cannot do that to try and carry 5 lines.

If you ever need a Kanstul, you know which way to head!

Thanks, I'll check them out. If I recall, that's where I got my Strad back in 1980.

I'll keep that in mind.

Hopefully one of these days I'll find a show like ITG near me (reasonably) and get more exposure to different products. Since I don't make $ playing and am just a comeback player, it hasn't been a priority but reading these boards has piqued my interest in many different products, techniques, etc.
