| Mezzo Forte User | The Stage 1 Xhb Review Well you know the old saying, be careful what you ask for. Could'nt be more true in the case of the Stage 1XHB. First i had to go to 4 diffrent place,s to get it cause they tryed to deliver it while i was out of town. When i found it , i opened it up in the parking lot of fedx................you should have seen the popcorn flying all over the lot! As i freed it from the beautiful velvet bag, the sun glissend on it,s scrached brassed finish. The detail and craftsmenship that went into this trumpet was amazing! Yeah yeah i know what your thinking.......ok clarence how doe's it sound! The XH1 put,s IMHOP all other trumpets and horn makers for that matter on FULL BLAST! The tone was crispyer then a bucket of kentucky fried chicken! Even played soft it still had that crisp clear tone. Maybe it was due to the sterling siver lead pipe and the overall construction. This trumpet cuts thru my four piece horn section with laser precision and seereing in tune pitch! Playing in the basement is no joke either, it's clean on the bottom as well as on the top! Now the overall aesthetics of the XH1 were so strong that everyone could'nt keep their eye,s off it. Some one said that if this horn plays as halfe as good as it looks it would be a hell of a player................The club had to close down for repairs when i got done with that sucker! paint crews had to come in and repaint lol (just kidding) Now i know everybody is excited about the other trumpets felix has done, however the XH1 is going to be the flagship of NYTC IMHOP. Felix has out done him self as well as others. And a lot of other horn makers BETTER STEP UP THEIR GAME! In service as well as quality! pic's coming very soon. peace and hairgrease! CLARENCE.

Clarence, I have a Stage 1 NY Light and I can not agree with you more. I knew I had something very special the instant I created sound with that masterpiece of craftsmanship. Love has a new meaning to me know. Peal Paint and strip wall paper? Yep mine will do so I would expect yours too. Crisp sound? Just like a sunny late autumn day at the football stadium. I agree that Felix is a master's master when it comes to knowing how fine instruments need to be made. Congrats on your new horn,

![]() | Re: The Stage 1 Xhb Review I would love to give your horn a try Clarence. It looks awesome! Felix takes such pride in his work which is obvious in the instruments he sells. I know I couldn't be happier with my NY Bb. One thing is knowing how to design them, but what makes NYTC stand out is the time and patience they put into talking to the buyer, making sure he gets exactly what he's looking for. Felix has certainly put a lot of time into listening to my thoughts and feelings about the instruments I've bought. And I suspect he's like that with every customer. He simply takes pride into what he does like no other I've ever dealt with.

| Piano User | Re: The Stage 1 Xhb Review Bill, the Stage 1 horns are mostly made in New York...Felix Vayser designs most of them, I believe, although some of them do come from Austria, from Anton Posseger. Garry Stoner is also working with him too. He's on here as NYTC. He's got an amazing line of trumpets. New York Trumpet Company - The Premier Custom Trumpet Shop. You should definitely check them out. He really tailors to your every need-you will definitely know you have a horn for you, that is yours. He even sends them out in raw so you can test it before you finish it-talk about service... Clarence-I've got Felix's new Model A at the moment-it's a nice one too!! Definitely interesting in the shotblast palladium finish(I didn't realize what palladium was for a while...didn't know it was on the other side of platinum...)with shotblast gold buttons and caps....and a scratch gold inside bell! I can't wait to hear yours though...how heavy is that beast, exactly?

| Piano User | Re: The Stage 1 Xhb Review Man, that IS a beast! very nice...I bet you're loving that thing more and more by the minute though. I know as soon as I played any of his, I loved them, but there were a couple I was definitely drawn to, like the rimless copper bell, and the NY Flugel(as you can see from my new pic), and NY model. You gotta post sound/video clips soon! I definitely want to hear it.
