| Re: Stage-One-California after two years I have two Stage 1 Cal.'s, a Bb and C and they are of the highest quality. The NYTC horns are some of the best and If you have a question about the "who" in assembly just contact Felix. TD |

| Re: Stage-One-California after two years Yeah, a year after I had my bach strad the silver was completely worn through a couple of contact points, its unfortunate but i imagine if it plays, does it really matter? |

| Piano User | Re: Stage-One-California after two years you should see my Stage 1...my hands have already eaten through a ton of the lacquer...and I just got mine in November. it makes me sick-I wish I would have gone scratch/polish gold, and now it's too expensive to. I suppose whenever I finally wear through most of it, I'll finally go gold, but this horn, hands down, is the best horn I've ever played. Don't worry about poor quality-like others said, it's acidic hands. I'd have bought that horn there without a second glance... Russ Last edited by DubbaCTrumpetMSU : 05-04-2008 at 09:53 PM. |

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Stage-One-California after two years Mine could do that in a day. I got a new yammie chicago in the fall and have already eaten through the silver in a few places. Apparently my left pinky is more acidic that the rest of my hands, lol. |

oddly, enough, I think I'm the same way. I'm still amazed at how quickly it's going though. Though at the rate gold is...I'll never be able to afford to redo it. I'm sort of afraid to ask how much it would be to do it now. | |

| Re: Stage-One-California after two years That happened to my lacquered Bach in about 6 months. For my silver Bach, it took much longer, and never got all the way down to the brass. I have not noticed any problems with my Yamaha NY yet. I try to wipe it off before i put back in the case each night. |

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Stage-One-California after two years I don't think that this is correct towards Felix. One should give more info of the history of the horn, how it has been taken care of it etc. If anyone has a problem with acidic hands, there is such things as valve guards, silver and gold finishes, gloves, whipping the horns after ever session etc. NYTC is known for fine builded horns, if there is a problem address it first to Felix and then go on putting it to a public forum. |
