![]() | In my experience as a music major a C trumpet was needed far more often than a picc. Even now playing in my orchestra I use my C trumpet on every performance and picc only once every 2 yrs or so. Go with the C! Kevin |

| Fortissimo User | To be fair, shouldn't one ask where (which continent/country) a person plans on going to college? I'm thinking that with C trumpets being less common in European orchestras that a rotary Bb might be the way to go for someone who is on the other side of the water... or not. |

| Piano User | my main horn is a custom strad, ML bore, 43 bell lr25 i also have and sometimes play on my olds ambassador (ites from the mid to late 60s) my flugel is a blessing copper belled job idk b/c b4 my audtition the guy said sometimes you get calls for local orchestra gigs if ya have access to a picc,,,,so im guessing a lot of guys there have c horns...
