Super Zeus Dealer Field Tests
« Thread started on: Nov 4th, 2003, 10:43am »

For the Zeus dealers:

Here is a format that might be useful for organizing your feedback on upcoming new products.

I understand the nature of proprietary information and do NOT expect this information to be made public.

When you are able to release information publicly these areas of "performance" would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for any confusion in my original post.

Greg.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Response

2. Intonation checked with a tuner and with other horns if possible

3. Slotting all registers

4. Sound

5. Projection

6. Overall playability

7. Construction

8. Comparative (compare it to your own horn or horns)

9. If played with others or on gigs comments on blending with others.

10. Mouthpiece(s) used during testing.

Please add any other comments of interest when you make your report.

Not a chance Greg!

This will not take place.

There is no public testing or evaluation of the new ZeuS trumpet. This is the prototype and any comments or opinions of the dealers will be strictly kept confidential. I am trusting them fully with the secret. We will determine the final product and when it is released for sale you can all evaluate it all you like. Until then, not even the name will be disclosed.

Do you see the new Corvette being disclosed to the public before its time? How about the new Boxter?
Not a chance.

Just wait until its ready and for sale.

It was sent out yesterday. About 10 people will get it and keep it for only two days each. With the time in shipping and however long this will all take is only a guess.

After this evaluation the instrument will be released for sale.

It’s hard say an exact date at this time. Some preliminary pictures may be released for public viewing before the dealer evaluation is complete.

Absolutely,

In only a few minutes I found all sorts of info on the 2005 C6 Corvette. The big, public intro at the Detroit auto show in Jan. will be 9 months before it goes on sale. Same thing for the Boxter.

I don't see how it is good for the sports car industry to give sneak previews of things to come but it is not good for trumpets?

Who is getting to play this horn. I hope you've got some HEAVIES lined up - if not - nobody will care.

Well, I wouldn't consider myself HEAVY. I'm about average weight for my height. The other evaluaters will have to speak for themselves.

You know what they say...

If you build it, the HEAVIES will come.

I think we have done this and the heavens will thunder on Mt. Olympus.

The prototype is already sold to the first evaluator.

Get ready for a very exciting ride everyone.

Patience my friend James.

You may see it in just a few days, Maybe. Its now traveling across the country.

I am waiting to see as many people as possible buy other horns so that they will feel like real idiots when the Zeuper ZeuS is released.
I can hear the sour grapes now.

Super Zeus

There is a description of the "Super Zeus" by Flip Oaks who examined the horn on 10/15/03 over at TH in the horn section .

I was actually in the middle of an Earl D. Irons moment playing and reading the TH. I popped over to here to see if anyone had noticed and your post was not up yet. I go to make the post only to find out that I had to re-register on the new-updated site!

I had you!!!!!!! Not!
