| THANK YOU! Leigh! I do not know how to express my thanks for choosing me as the winner of the 2006 Eclipse Contest! I have needed a new jacket for the longest time! Thank you! for providing such a generous prize. I have had the picture of the trumpet as my computer wallpaper since the day you posted it. Thank you! for whatever the reason was that I was chosen, there were many very good entries and was not expecting to win. You have actually made me speechless, no small feat in itself! Thank you TrumpetMaster members for the comments and congratulations that have been coming all evening and morning. A special thanks to Dave, at Eastside Music in Roseville, MI for supplying me with all of the “used parts” for my picture. I want to let you know how very grateful I am to be chosen as the winner. I am already nervous with anticipation waiting to receive the trumpet (and jacket). This horn will get a LOT of use by me and all who want to play it or just see it will be welcome to do so. (Sorry, you’ll have to come to the horn, I’m not going to ship it around) Your friend, and mine, Chuck Willard |

I know how excited you’re feeling with a boxed up horn in route to your house. I’ve been waiting for several months having repair work done on my C trumpet, and yesterday morning I got a call that my horn was finished, and it’s in a box headed to my house (it made it from Portland to Oakland yesterday!). Looking forward to seeing pictures of you in your new Eclipse duds playing that beautiful new instrument. Congratulations! Leigh, I also want to thank you for a really exciting several months. When I finished my story (I still can’t believe I wrote a short story at this point in my life), I shared it with my Sunday School class at Church (there’s a group of about 7 of us that get together each week). Then on Easter Sunday, we drove down to Tucson after several early services in Tempe and spent the rest of the day with friends and family. I read my story to everyone there (about 25 of us) and showed the pictures of my project. What an amazing feeling sharing this story with a large group. I would never have done that if it hadn’t been for this contest! I told my boys about the announcement and they’re sad, but also excited that we may get to try again next year. I am too! My 7 year old already had the idea to build a trumpet out of fruit (we have 8 citrus trees in our backyard), so it could be another very interesting project! Thanks again. | |

| I won't be able to make it to hockeytown so if you are in the area of the carolinas stop on by, aint nothing like a southern soul dinner with friends and good music.. I will be setting my goal high for the next contest. The contest was so cool! I have learned some new things about the music direction I am going in and my plans have broadened.. I was going to find a new trumpet for myself then pass my old one to one of my boys..My heart says I should allow them the priveledge to own a new instrument.. Then again what do they want to play? I could always start my children and young followers in earning their own way early by guiding them in activities such as fundraising then we will just have to look for good specials on sale from the Eclipse website.... http://www.eclipsetrumpets.com/ Man I really have my mind together finally... Must be the Eclipse energy... The right person was chosen to win congratulations again, look forward to seeing pics from your garden with the new blossom |
