| Re: Tomomi Kato's Horns I've played his BSC All Around model (great valves....gorgeous sound, but VERY directional)...and the RF model (one of the best trumpets I've ever played)...the one I played on quite a bit is now owned by a very good friend (and TM-er)...hey! I kept that thing close to me! hahaha. Fantastic horns. |

| Re: Tomomi Kato's Horns Quote:
I really like the raw brass model depicted on his web page, but Tomomi seems to want to create a specific horn for me....not sure what that means w/out me being able to play test it.......I'm starting to lean towards just buying a used Monette... | |

| Re: Tomomi Kato's Horns How would you know that a used Monette will work for you.I think Monette's are more specific then other horns. A new Monette made for you is one thing, but a used Monette is a totally different story. I would go with Tomomi's personal recommendation over any used horn.:) |

| Re: Tomomi Kato's Horns hmmm...good point. I did play a "basic model" Monette years ago and thought it was great, but unless I tried it, I would have no idea how a used horn would sound.....then again, I would NOT buy it unless I could try it..... |
