Total Eclipse

I realise that this is not a world premiere (thanks to a certain band based in Bamburg) but I am still quite excited none the less.

I am leaving for Paris on the Eurostar later this morning to play a concert with the UK big band of Andrew Hill, the legendary American composer and pianist. For the first time in my life I will be in a trumpet section of 4 Eclipse players.

I am on lead playing my new 'Diamond Back' medium heavy red with Kevin Robinson playing his customised large copper, Byron Wallen on 'The Snake', his custom Large Heavy Red and Jay Phelps playing his medium heavy red. All of the instruments are finished in 24 carat gold plate. Photos will be taken Leigh, don't worry. :)

In fact we may try and use a mini-disc to make a little recording too.

If you happen to be in Paris on Wednesday then you can catch us at:-

Saint Quen: Espace 1789
2-4 rue Alexandre Bachelet
934000 Saint Quen

The set begins at 21:30.

All the best. Noel.

Noel, you just GOTTA get a minidisc recording of that section: if for no other reason than to get it up on the Eclipse website! What a sales feature THAT would be.

Good luck with the gig Noel....I'm sure it will create a lot of interest for Leigh and Eclipse trumpets. I'm glad that I bought mine when I did!

Hi Noel

Its a shame that i dont have time to go over to listen to that, as i am sure it would be a great trumpet section.
At least get some pics for me if you can.

Have fun and blow them away!!!

Leigh
