| Trumpet or Cornet Receiver for Piccolo I am looking at getting my first piccolo. I have noticed that they are available with mouthpiece receivers for either cornet or trumpet shank. Are there any pros and cons to either one? I know of course that trumpet mpcs are more widely available. I am looking for info related to playability. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Michael. |

| Hi, Michael! How are you doing? My recommendation is the trumpet mouthpiece receiver. Especially, since I happen to know your that your mouthpieces of choice are GR. For more information, please visit this link to the GR website: http://www.grmouthpieces.com/piccolo.htm Best always, Bruce PS: Hello, Gerhard! |

If they come standard as cornet, why get a trumpet receiver and then adapt it. Gr must believe that the cornet is the best idea or why would they design their line that way. The adapter is for people that don't have a choice. | |
