![]() | Re: The trumpet factory That looks like an Olds Ambassador to me. Even though the folks making these trumpets aren't "artists," it's still interesting. I always wondered how they bend the tubing without crushing or kinking it. Why use "soapy water?" Does that make it slushy when frozen? The bell flare is interesting too. Is that how they are all made? |

![]() | Re: The trumpet factory I don't know that some of those guys aren't artists in thier own right. I've never made a bell, but I got to learn some dent removal when I worked in a repair shop and it's much harder than it looks! The real repair folks at my store could do some pretty amazing things to horns I thought were done for. I would call some of them artists for sure. Anyway, cool video... (didnt' mean to come as a rant!)

![]() | Re: The trumpet factory King. Too bad they wouldn't pay for a real trumpet player on the soundtrack. Check out the obbligato at about 6 minutes. At least we got to hear the tester play.
