Well, My Stage 1 has arrived!

Here it is...my Stage 1 California Custom has arrived! I've taken a few pictures, and had the chance to play it for a little while. My first impressions are...well, wow. The horn looks great, first off, even in raw form. The horn sounds...well, great. It makes it so much easier to match 'the sound in my head', if you know what I mean. The projection is great, and the sound is just full and nice. It can be pushed, and switching to the squared nickel silver slide helps that, especially when you start playing lead/commercial type stuff. It sounds great. The sound is on the bright side with the squared nickel slide, and the rounded bronze one makes it very easy to darken up. I guess you could call it a real chameleon of a horn-you can change tonal colors very easily. Anyway, here are the pictures!!

Anyway, I have to give Felix a huge thank you, and Garry big props too! They are amazing, and definitely are top in the business...Time to go play!!

Tracks can also be bought and downloaded now, for 99 cents a track. I know probably nobody here will do it, but it's worth a shot. :)

Haha no kidding! This horn is great...you should get in touch with Felix for your next horn-I tell you, I know where I'm going for my C, my flugel, my picc...etc. :) Definitely a sweet playing horn.

Re: Well, My Stage 1 has arrived!

How nice Russ. I'm thrilled for you!

It was nice walking through this together in that we ordered our trumpets from NYTC at about the same time.

And for anyone contemplating purchasing a trumpet, based on my own experience, I'd give Felix a call or pop him an email.

Really great horns are being build by NYTC.

Re: Well, My Stage 1 has arrived!

I'm with Richard on this one-it was a great experience! It takes a while to build, but it's so worth it! I know I'm not going anywhere else anymore...:)
