| Mezzo Forte User | What is your main piccolo? To follow the main horn poll...As some of us have more tha one picc, I thought that it may be interesting to find out which are the most popular...My favoutrites for the moment are my Spada The software gives me only 10 answer options, so if your horn is missing, is not necessarilly because I have not heard of it, or think she's unworthy of mentioning, but because the options are limited. If you need to precise a model, please do by replying to this post. Last edited by trumpetnick : 06-22-2007 at 02:47 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: What is your main piccolo? My own design 3 rotary valve with a red brass bell from the early 60s. The valves are carbon fiber and have ball bearings so they are essentially maintenance free! Pictured in my avatar. Not as loud or bright as conventional piccs. Blends very well with the human voice. Great chamber instrument. Not suitable for the heavy symphonic things. |

Would you post a closer pics of your beast? I remember to have seen some pics of the production process of your horn, but would like to see what was the final result | |

| Re: What is your main piccolo? Yamaha 9830 the Schilke clone. At the time, I bought it it was a lot less $ then the Schilke. These days I think I would buy the P5-4 with the Butler/ Gyer. |
