Windsor Trumpet?

Hey guys/gals,

I know I haven't posted in a while; I've been preparing to work at summer camp for the last month and found it hard to make time. Here I am, at camp, and my mom just emailed me. She said my dad found a trumpet at an antique shop and wants to know about it. Obviously, since I have not seen it, I have little information. What I know is this:

It is a Windsor. Its serial # is R11097. He thinks it is smaller than a normal trumpet, but not as small as a piccolo.

He would like to get some info on it. I'm sorry I have so little information as it is. Perhaps this belongs on the vintage forum, but I'm not sure.

Re: Windsor Trumpet?

Hi, ABC Girl,

Hope your folks didn't pay more than the horn was worth when they visited the antique store. I don't believe the horn is an antique.

Secondly, if your folks give it to you as a gift, thank them and keep it as a sentimental gift from them. Play it for them and make them happy!

If it is a pocket trumpet have fun with it as it will make a conversation piece and something to buzz.

Best wishes!

Lloyd
