Re: And The Winner (s) Are.........................

Something else funny I'll share with you.

I of course shared with my section this wonderful news. Well heck the whole world must have known I won after I told my parents I was jumping up and down and yelling but at any rate I told my section.

They were like wait a minute you've just won a trumpet worth $$$ and you're going to play it?

They couldn't believe that I wouldn't just place it under glass in my study or something. I was like these horns are masterpieces to not play them would be a criminal act!

Your darn tootin' I'm going to play it; every chance I get! So My section mates will be among the first folks to play it and check it out. I'm sure Leigh's site and this one got 12 additional hits last night because none of them had ever heard of Eclipse or TM.

John, now you'll have to get over to Chuck's place and try out the ones he has to help you make up your mind. (You won't go wrong no matter what you select).

Damo... right on! Your exploded bell photo was probably my pick of the funniest: although Northerntrumpeter's valve transplant was really good too. I think you sealed the deal with your model though. That's undoubtedly the best one I've seen since the contest first began.

John

You could take your shiny new Gold Plated Eclipse trumpet, have it Bronzed and Framed and hang it on the wall!!!!!

That would be so cool!

I get a mention from an ECLIPSE owner in the same sentence as DAMO (an ECLIPSE owner). I feel like a winner too!!!!!

Cheers Ed.

I gave my all to it this year, but I guess I was out-classed. I've already got an idea for next year, which I think is up a level. Here's hoping Leigh continues his annual tradition...

By the way, if I had the choice I would have chosen a flugel (hint Leigh... ). The ECLIPSE trumpet would be nice, but I already have a nice enough trumpet, though an upgrade would be nice! I am REALLY after an ECLIPSE flugel. Those babies sound DIVINE!!!

I really liked your entry as well; I thought your valve transplant was brilliant!

It must have been tough for the judges to decide amongst so many very good entrys.

Definately keep after it; you never know when you'll get a call from Leigh!

Sure caught me by surprise!
