I too just got an Eclipse C. Mine is MR bell in silver plate. I have to second 6Pk. I take lessons from Alex and we played some duets at my last lesson and got some nice resultant tones! Great sound, intonation and more friendly to play than other C's

Pat,

I've been there since Tuesday man!

I'm so honored to have been chosen and can't wait to get my hands on her. Leigh did inform me that all trumpets are female in gender!

You know Pat we are only 5 hours from each other now. Something tells me that I'll have to head your way and get your opinion of how she plays!

Re: And The Winner (s) Are.........................

Wow, thi is s nuts, I pride myself on being at least in denial of being a trumpet geek, but I am sincerly jealous. Those Trumpets are great! I went for the yellow brass bell C in the end, it favoured me over the MR, but here in the HKPO we use Eclipse Cornets, Flugel, and now, C, and the way its going,,(my wife won't like this) Bb's too....I have to stop posting after being at the Pub, but let us know what you get and enjoy!

I'll certainly do that Pat; thank you.

I have great respect for you and am honored that you'd extend such a great offer to me.

I will look you up for sure!

Greetings Reid,

It made it a tough choice. If I played more "C" then I do I might very well have chosen a C but since the bulk of my playing is in Bb it just made sense.

I Know where your coming from; I sorely miss my lessons with Alex and the resultant tones we used to make!

Dave Mickley will become famous soon enough
Re: And The Winner (s) Are.........................

I think it is absolutely fantastic that such a creator of fine horns would actually give one away - - but two, now that is unthinkable. I feel so honored just to be part of a site like this one. I understand where Alex is coming from, my wife is an excellent player and has all but given up the trumpet due to male egos. after she performed Bride of the Waves on her fathers 1930 something cornet our section leader said he was glad to have her as his back up, he is not worthy to oil her valves. I took Vulgano's remark as a joke but I kid my wife in the same manner and she knows I am kidding.
Back to the serious subject, I hope you two winners will take these fine horn and expand your abilities 10 fold. I know KHP er EHP's horn will have to be pried out of his hands when he goes to bed at night. You both are very lucky but both did earn your prize. Thank you Leigh and all the other great sponsors for what they add to this site. Dave

Thanks Dave; yeah you aren't kidding.....

I'm chomping at the bit just to get a look at her; I can't even imagine what holding her will be like!

Manny,

I've already begun working my way to ATL! Looks like my employer will be sending me there in August. I guess I'll just have to bring my horn with me!

Now if I could just get to Minnesota!
