Romeo Adaci trumpets. They look neat, don't they?

Shark is in the middle.
The left one is the Referenz, and the right is the Resonanz.

That steel-gray looking plate with the gold is Palladium. Very neat little metal in the Platinum family with Rheuminum (Spell check) and Rhodium.

Designs on this horn seem to take from both Monette and Harrelson. The Resonanz has an integral mouthpiece system as an option.

Bauerfeind valves, I would definitely wager as well.

There is a more standard-looking horn, not pictured. The Eleganza.

Prices:

Eleganza: $2,920
Referenz: $3,550
Shark #9: $4,600
Resonanz: $10,600

They describe the leadpipe as "new silver," whatever the heck that means.

If you look real close at the Resonanz, you can see that mouthpiece is attached to the leadpipe. Really neat. One of Dave's innovations, if I am not mistaken.

BTW, here is a link to some more info about the horn.

http://www.ibowtie.com/xcart/home.php?cat=305

The bore on all of these horns is about .461 - .465. Conical bore as well.

Yeah, and the claim is that the Resonanz can pump out up to 120 decibels of sound! Wouldn't that be fun too turn loose on the neighborhood! But, at 10K, it's way over my budget. But, that Shark just might work....

Yeah, that would be a real killer for orchestra rehearsal.

120 decibels:

Ambulance Siren
Hammer on nail
Pneumatic Drill
Jet Plane (at ramp)
Thunder

I've heard that Romeo Adaci worked with sheet bracing and extreme heavywall brass before Dave Monette did. That makes Dave the one who copied the design. I'm still looking for info about that subject.

New Silver is the German name (neusilber) for Nickel Silver, a brass alloy containing Nickel, Copper, en some other components. Most trumpet manufacturers, like Bach, use it for the outside of their tuning slides.

camelbrass will become famous soon enough
Roel,

Yes I had heard the same thing about Romeo Adaci. He was definitely doing this type of trumpet a long time before Jason.

Regards,

Trevor

At what distance and pitch? 120 decibels is easy to get out of a trumpet. I just tested it.

Dave Monette has been making trumpets since 1983 with his designs beginning in 1982. I understand Sr. Adaci began in 1989 after a tooth injury. Monette's horns have always been a bit heavier than most trumpets, even at the beginning.

Where did you get your information?
