Smile Yamaha 4335G became 4335GS !

he he... I sold my 4335G in lacquer finish and the Getzen 300 (I feel sorry for this one , because it is a gorgeous horn) , and I bought a new silver 4335GS !
I don't know if it is just my subconscious or autosuggestion , but this one feels and plays differently from the lacquer model ... anyway , I like it very much and I'm happy, cause it is my first silver horn...

It's both! Plus, every horn plays differently than every other - even Yamaha.

Don't even bother thinking about it. Run with what you have. It is the music that matters not the hardware.

No, I'm not thinking about anything ... music is important, of course ... but , if you like your horn , it is more passion released and this can help you to play and concentrate better ...

Re: Yamaha 4335G became 4335GS !

When you said the silver one plays differently, did you want to say it sounds brighter or something like that ?

That's what I thought ; a small difference because of the difference of finish... you'll soon become used to. Have a lot of fun with your beautiful horn !

Re: Yamaha 4335G became 4335GS !

thanks Dupac !
I am a little bit nervous because the valves are sticky and this should not suppose to happen because 4xxx series have hand lapped pistons... my first 4335G had NO problem with the pistons ...they worked fine from the begining. this is not happening to my new GS.

Oh yes, I understand your nervosity ! But please keep cool : with your new Yamaha you've probably got a piece of their excellent valve oil (also their excellent slide grease) and in a few days your valves will work fine, sure !

Re: Yamaha 4335G became 4335GS !

marsuleu, the important thing is that you're very happy with and excited about your new horn and this usually leads to spending more time practicing and playing, and improving your skills and technique. Congratulations!
