Google "Olds Ambassador Los Angeles" and it should take you to the Olds sight which will allow you to date the horn by serial number.

Olds Central: Information on trumpets and cornets by F. E Olds and Son 1928-1979

They are good horns but unfortunately not worth much because so many of them were made.

The Serial Number is 54442 so I believe that is around 1951 Is that gonna be worth anything or still no because of so many made.

Re: 19-- Ambassador Trumpet

That serial number should place it in the first half of 1966.

Re: 19-- Ambassador Trumpet

OOOPS!!! Sorry, you're right. I thought it was a 6 digit serial number rather that a 5 digit S/N. Again, I'm sorry.

Re: 19-- Ambassador Trumpet

Anyone know what I could possibly see a reasonable price for this horn to be?

Post a picture. We would be guessing if we have not seen the horn and know if it has red rot or dents or needs refinished, etc,. Thanks.

Lousy condition, not worth much of anything.
Decent condition (not too many dents, none serious), worth about $50 - $75.
Like-new condition, worth about $200 - $250.
