1920 Buescher Trumpet Model 11

Hey does anyone know anything about the 1920 Buescher Trumpet Model 11? Was it made of silver? Was it any good? Would it be worth restoring? thanks Jerry

It will be silver-plated brass. Whether it's worth restoring is up to you. The mouthpipe will not fit standard mouthpieces; Buescher used a smaller shank back then, so if you didn't get mouthpieces you can use with it, that might be a factor.

I'd say get it cleaned and play it for a while and see how you like it.

Horn-u-copia model list says it has an A-Bb key adjustment. On the Buescher trumpet line, reply #10, has a picture of a Model 11 Tru Tone, ser. 130305, c. 1923, seemingly un-restored. I would say the finish would be silver plate. They , from what I have seen, are good instruments. You might try using the search function on this site to find any other discussions about their playing characteristics. I don't recall exactly what others said about that.
The value isn't extremely high, but depending on what work is needed you would have to make a judgement on that end of it.
