Arturo Sandoval Leblanc I have the opportunity to pick up an Arturo Sandoval Leblanc. I don't know much about this model but it supposed to be in mint condition. It is currently owned by a rather well known retired horn player that I have become acquainted with over the past few years. He's giving me first crack at it. Can anyone give me any background on this model? I do a bit of collecting, but mostly like "players". I currently play a vintage Olds Recording and have always thought I might like something new around my studio. Not sure if this will fit that bill. Greg

Re: Arturo Sandoval Leblanc If memory serves correctly, it's essentially a copy of a Schilke X3. I played one once, it seemed like a pretty good horn.

Re: Arturo Sandoval Leblanc I had tested one and really liked it. The only issue I had with it was it was priced higher than a Bach Strad and the Yamaha Pro horns and it wasn't significantly better than either. If the price is right and you like the way it plays, go for it.
