Re: Boosey & Hawke "Oxford" and Couesnon Cornet

Boosey and Hawkes 'Oxford' was their student range from the 50s and 60s and built like tanks.

I know very little about Cousenon.

Regards,

Trevor

Robert Rowe is on a distinguished road
Re: Boosey & Hawke "Oxford" and Couesnon Cornet

Dunno 'bout Boosey & Hawke ... never had, nor played one.

I have a few Couesnon horns, including a Monopole Cornet. The Monopole is considered "top-of-the-line" model, and there were actually two Monopole versions -- the "Conservatoire" being the finest; the "Star" being about 1/2 step less, mostly adornment and engraving issues.
