![]() | a couple of months ago I asked if anyone knew the aprox. value of an 1887 Boston Star trumpet and also how to post pictures. I just haven't really decided if I want to part with the horn because it plays so well, actually feels alive when I play it. Another question for you guys out there - the mouth piece receiver is slightly smaller in dia. to fit the old smaller shanks of the old mouth pieces. will I ruin the value of the horn if I have the receiver reamed out to fit the modern mouth piece? as it is I have to push the tuning slide in all the way to be in tune and I know the gap is off. Thanks for any input.
