| Buffet American Model Cornet I have used the search mode to try and locate the manufacturer of this standard cornet model. It is a Buffet American Model with W. Germany stamped on the mpc lead pipe. It has first and third triggers and inlaid pulls on the slides. The 7C mouthpiece has Buffet Crampon engraved on it. It is nicely engraved, too. Does anyone have any knowledge of this cornet. I love the way it sounds. Schaeffer, W Germany, made brass instruments and was bought by Buffet. Does anyone know anything about Schaeffer? EDIT: 1-27-2004: It appears, now, that Schaeffer and Yvette bought Buffet and Courtois made the brass instruments for Schaeffer. Weird, huh? This is probably solved. Don Huddleston Oklahoma City |
