Conn Trumpet Help

Hello I am new to the forum and I would like a little info on this piece that was given to me by my mother. She stated that is was her dads but didnt know anything about it. It does say director on it and has this # 993301
any help would be appericated thanks dell

Look it up by serial number on The Conn Loyalist web site. You can find out what model and year it is.

It is an early 1960's Director trombone, and has the GOOD case, which means it may be a fine playing entry level trombone. A music store tech can inspect the ends of the inner slide and tell you if it is a good beginning instrument. Some of these older trombones are great, some are worn out and makes learning a new instrument more difficult than it could be.
