    Instrument Specifications where instrument="Trumpet" and maker="Monarch "

Here are a couple of examples from Horn-u-copia. Looks like a "pea-shooter design and probably a stencil. That would take some investigation.

Cheers, yeah the 2nd one looks pretty similar. Pea shooter should be good for projection right ?

Hurtin' your ears!! Seriously, it may be brighter in tone but it probably doesn't project the way you're thinking. Most peashooters are shrill ( I own 2).

Shrill?? I've owned several peashooters and never considered them shrill, even though that seems to be the general perception.

Martin Troubadour and Conn 40A and 40B are at least a few I've owned - both nice sounding horns. They didn't sound any different to me than any regular wrap trumpet.

Re: Dallas Monarch Vintage Trumpet ?

Well my wife thinks ALL trumpets are shrill. Shrill may be too general an adjective. They generally have a more brilliant sound. I too own a 40B (brightest tone I own).
