    Hello,

    DoctorTom, your horn seems to be a "Cornet-trumpet", that is a cornet with a "brighter sound" as written on this page ( as far as I understand a kind of long cornet).
    See here, page 30 (even if yours does not seem to be a Monopole)
    Couesnon 1912, catalogue, fabrique, Mirecourt.

    Could have been interesting but unfortunately it look in a poor shape...

    I forgot: under Chateau-Thierry there is a kind of pineapple (a "grenade" in French") with usually some digits. It is the year of making.
